Play It! Invites Young People from the Music Sector!
The call is intended for young people aged 18 to 30 from the fields of music and creative industries to participate in a focus group meeting organized within the Play It! project.

The project “Play It! – Strengthening Cooperation for Change in the Music Industry” is implemented by the World Music Association of Serbia in partnership with the Music Information Centre of Serbia (MICS) and the Ring Ring association, with the support of the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD). The project has been developed in line with the principles and objectives of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Its goal is to strengthen cooperation and strategic development within the music industry by connecting musicians, producers, sound engineers, publishers, concert and festival organizers, as well as decision-makers.

We invite young and emerging stakeholders from the music sector — musicians, composers, musicologists, students of musicology and ethnomusicology, producers, sound engineers, publishers, editors and journalists of music portals, as well as other professionals — to participate in a focus group meeting organized within the Play It! project. The call is open to young people aged 18 to 30 from the fields of music and creative industries.

The focus group is a structured yet informal discussion in which we jointly identify the needs, challenges, and obstacles faced by young people in their professional work — including issues of copyright, fair practices, cooperation with publishers, distributors, concert organizers, and institutions. The conclusions of the discussion will be used to design future educational programs and support models within the music sector.
